PaletteQR ("we", "the site") is a free browser-based QR code generator. This page explains what data is involved when you use it.

1. Your QR code content stays in your browser

Everything you type — URLs, Wi-Fi passwords, contact details, messages — is turned into a QR code entirely on your device using JavaScript. We do not send this content to a server, store it in a database, or have any way to see what you've generated.

2. Cookies and advertising

This site is supported by advertising. If you accept cookies via the banner shown on your first visit, we (and our advertising partner, Google AdSense) may use cookies or similar technology to serve ads and measure their performance. These partners may use the information they collect to personalize ads based on your visits to this and other websites.

You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings at any time, and you can decline non-essential cookies using the banner on this site. Google's own use of advertising cookies is described at policies.google.com/technologies/ads. To turn off personalized advertising directly, visit Google's Ad Center personalization settings — you'll still see ads, just not ones based on your browsing activity.

We do not currently use any analytics tools (such as Google Analytics or Plausible) on this site. If that changes in the future, this section will be updated to describe what's collected before it's turned on.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or request deletion of personal data, and to object to or withdraw consent for personalized advertising at any time — the cookie banner and the Google Ad Center link above are how you exercise that choice on this site. Because we don't operate accounts or server-side storage of your QR code content, there's generally nothing else held about you to request. 6. Children's privacy

This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

7. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Continued use of the site after changes means you accept the updated policy.
